September 2019

Dear Parents,

Welcome back with a special welcome to the new children and their families who have recently joined us. We hope you

will enjoy being part of the Zig Zag family.

Our learning journey this term will be based around Autumn on the farm including healthy food, vehicles, animals, simple

maps, songs and toys related to these topics. Later in the term  we will be celebrating seasonal festivals linked to light such as

Bonfire Night and Fireworks, Diwali, Advent and Christingle leading up to Christmas.

We are planning a simple Harvest Celebration on Thursday 17th October with donations to the Christmas Shoe Box Appeal.

We will be collecting small essentials for young children to give as a shoe box gift such as toothpaste, soap, gloves, pencils,

notebooks, small toys like a ball or snap cards. We aim to fill about 4 boxes. More information to follow.

The school half term falls on the week beginning 21st October and we are closed from Monday 23rd December reopening

on Thursday 2nd January. However, Zig Zags is open for everybody during half term as usual.

Best wishes from the Zig Zag team

March 2019

Dear Parents,

We can't believe we have come to the end of the Spring Term already. As you know we are open

over the School Easter Holiday apart from Easter Weekend which includes Thursday 18th April as well.

We will re-open on Tuesday 23rd April when 15 hour funding re-starts.

We have really enjoyed the term which included a visit from Mrs Recycle who brought her rescue chicken

and the children named her Rosie. The children were able to stroke Rosie and we hear she laid an egg to say thank

you when she got home. We also had lots of fun up-cycling bottle tops to make a beautiful picture about helping our

world. Many thanks to all of our bottle top collectors including the postman! Any tops left over will be re-cycled

of course.

Some dates for your diary:

Monday 6th May Bank Holiday

Monday 27th May Bank Holiday

OPEN MORNING ON TUESDAY 28TH MAY [ during Half term] for new children and families.
